October 8th - October 12th (2012)

Well, here's week two of my 4 Weeks of Fun - not a good week at all. I only exercised 2 days of the 5 and that's my fault because I let personal shit get in my way. All I wanted to do at the end of the week was mope around and not do a thing....so that's what I did... except for the housework, can't let that go lol

Twisted Panties, Oh My!

The other day I post a vent that was sent into my inbox on my fan page, *Army WIves Do It With Hooah*. This vent caused somewhat of an uproar. I said I agreed with some of it and disagreed with some of it, but I didn't really comment on it at the time because I was on my phone and didn't feel like typing it all out that way. So, I'll address it now. I'll also say now that when I say "you", I'm not addressing the person specifically who wrote this vent. I'm addressing everyone who feels that way lol it's generally speaking.

Here was the vent:

"I really just have a vent.

Okay. I realize that when you marry somebody in the military, or your husband joins, you get a dependent ID card, but that DOES NOT make you military. YOU didn't sign the paperwork, YOUR kids didn't sign the paperwork, he did(or wife in some cases). I am SO tired of hearing, "Civilians just don't understand what its like to be military". Last I checked, My husband just joined the army, not me, I AM a civilian, and so is our daughter. I didn't sign ANYTHING, my husband did.

*Help Find Sgt. Robert Larson*

SGT Larson is driving a Black 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, destination unknown. His Jeep has Smittybilt XRC front and rear fenders, and Smittybilt stickers placed on the windshield, and on the rear windows. The Jeep has South Carolina Purple Heart license plates. If you see this Jeep or SGT Larson, please contact the Calhoun County Police Department at 803-874-2741 or the Fort Jackson Military Police at 803-751-3113.

His last known whereabouts were in West Columbia, SC.

SGT Larson is 6'1 and approximately 190 lbs. He has been struggling with overcoming an MTBI from injuries that he sustained in Iraq in 2005. It is most likely that he went off his medication, he has a habit of driving as a means to calm down whenever he has an episode from his injury. SGT Larson is not armed, or dangerous. He is full of life and always smiling.

4 Weeks of Fun!!

On Monday, October 1st, I wrote up 4wks worth of "exercises" to do to push my butt into gear. I may not follow each day exactly, depends on how I feel physically, but I WILL do something everyday. I have some exercise videos that I want to start doing so they are what I'm focusing on this month. I want to see what I like and what works for me.

WTF Sergeant?

This morning, as I was walking my daughter to school like I do every morning, I witnessed what I can only assume was a woman on a power trip. My jaw kinda dropped a little bit and I refrained from saying anything because of the kids around.

Sometimes people will hear me complain about the idiot crossing guards at the school, but the female soldier who has been up there the past few weeks has been cool. Nothing to complain about from me. Well, as I was coming up on the crosswalk today, she stopped traffic, like she normally does, and let some parents and kids pass. I noticed as she was stopping the traffic there was a black vehicle that just kept inching it's way forward. The crossing guard sternly put her hand up in the "stop" manner.
