Martina Mcbride at Fort Stewart - MOST People had a Blast

For the 4th of July this year, Fort Stewart had Mario and Martina Mcbride (and some other country band I don't remember the name of). During the day there was things to do on post and then the concert started at at 6pm and ended at 10pm, when the fireworks started.
My daughter and I hung tough all day long in the blazing sun and heat, I even got sunburned. Then we went to the concert and enjoyed ourselves... GRATEFUL that we had awesome entertainment...for FREE...

I was on Martina Mcbride Fanpage on Facebook and saw a post by a guy named Patrick. He is "that" guy. You know "that" guy...the one who has to complain about something provided for FREE... the one who just has to be an ungrateful, spoiled brat. I'm really hoping this man is not a soldier b/c that would be even sadder. Here is what he said:

Really? She single handedly ruined your 4th of July? This man, along with everyone else, knew ahead of time that the concert lasted until 10pm. Everyone knew the fireworks started after the concert. I do believe the fireworks started roughly around 10:05pm. "Unlike you, some of us have to work in the morning." <--- Really guy? No one told you to bring your ungrateful ass on post for the concert & fireworks anyway!! Even if she wasn't singing, the fireworks weren't scheduled until 10pm!! I'm willing to bet that your piss-poor attitude is what "ruined" the 4th of July for your family and if I were your wife, I would feel embarrassed that you acted like this. She sounded wonderful & I loved  when she sang at the end. I hardly doubt she ruined other families night... all the posts on her wall & twitter show that other people APPRECIATED her performance and LOVED it. She even did 2 encores! I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion & freedom of speech, yadda yadda yadda.. I just wish that some people would exercise their right to SHUT UP. /vent

I am extremely grateful that Fort Stewart had things for us to do on the 4th of July. I would have went even if it wasn't free. I appreciate the fact that they do these things for us as a way of them showing their appreciation for what the soldiers and their family members go through. It boggles my mind that people complain about FREE stuff.

I'll end this with one of her songs that I love & that she performed that night. If you were there, how did you like it?
